HOPE 2007

Kutcha’s latest album HOPE was launched 23rd June 2007 at the Black Box Theatre, Melbourne. Performing original songs interspersed with stories both funny and sad, Kutcha with his band shared with the audience an intimate musical encounter.

HOPE is a collection of stories put to music. Kutcha uses his own life experiences to tell stories about his friends and family. His beautiful strong voice can move you to tears as well as lift your spirits.

Cooinda

"The songs on Cooinda are some of the stories that are part of my songline, my ancestors, my families and my peoples' journey. There has been a long journey to this album, Cooinda, and many people have inspired me. Much love to all who have travelled with me - you know who you are. I love and thank you."

Kutcha Edwards released his debut, solo album Cooinda in August this year. Featuring 12 songs the album is produced by Paul Kelly, Paul Hester and David Bridie.

Cooinda relates Kutcha's life journey with songs covering a range of issues from his forceful removal from his family as a child to songs dedicated to both his mother and late father. Other tracks include comments on rascism and beating alcoholsm.

Upon release of Cooinda Kutcha will embark on a national tour to promote his album. Also included is a tour to Asia in November and America in February 2002. Kutcha is a former lead singer of one of Australia's most popular indigenous rock bands Blackfire
